Zayn Malik changes appearance ahead of apparel launch

Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik looked unrecognizable as he wowed fans and followers with his transformation from a clean-cut boyband star to a surfer dude with curly locks and a full beard.

The 29-year-old showed off his natural curly hair and let his normal stubble grow into a full beard, with a yellow hoodie featuring a graphic print, in the front of the photo on Instagam.

It came as the star revealed the latest selection from her clothing collection, Paynt By Zayn, was available for purchase.

“2 weeks left to get my Paynt By Zayn collection before it’s gone! Link in bio,” he wrote.

Fans were divided with her current look.

One said, “ZAYN YOU NEED TO SHAVE But ok, I still love you!”

Another wrote: “Love the grizzly look. You look sexy.”

Although some of his fans were sure he named the collection after his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.

Earlier this month, Liam came under heavy fire after giving an interview about his former bandmates One Direction where he called Zayn a “d**k”.

“By Zayn. ICONIC,” one wrote, while others referenced the alleged spat between the two singers. “I would add so it’s not obvious,” added another.

Zayn reportedly had a high-profile split from model Gigi Hadid.

The couple, who share daughter Khai, split last year after it was alleged Zayn got into an argument with Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Hadid.

The star shared a surprise clip of himself singing One Direction hit You & I on Instagram, sparking rumors that the band – which closed in 2016 – are reforming.
